Revisions are submitted requests to change a product and their properties.

SideDish keeps track of the changes made to a product, and their approval status. There can be endless revisions for a product, but at any time, only one revision can be submitted and approved.

Merchants can submit revisions for their own products. But also your team can make changes to products by starting a new revision on behalf of a merchant.

Status of a revision

  • Draft - The revision is not submitted yet.
  • Pending - The revision is submitted and waiting for approval.
  • Approved - The revision was approved.
  • Rejected - The revision was rejected.

Approval process

It is up to you to decide when a revision should be approved. You can have an open store and automatically approve all revisions. Or you can have a closed store and only approve revisions when you want to publish them, following a checklist.

SideDish will help you track a checklist for consistency in enforcing the rules.

When a revision is approved, it will automatically be published as the latest version of the product.
